Our Young Learner Students Have Been Learning About the Hadith of Jaabir!

This Week at the Saturday School, our young learners have been learning about the Companions and Hadiths.

Students have been learning all about the to the Hadith of Jaabir and understanding what the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said about the way we eat.

A Hadith is a narration about the Prophet Muhammad from one of the companions. They describe what he said, did, allowed or did not allow, or how he was. They were memorised and written down. The companions would tell other people the Hadith to teach them about Islaam.

Jaabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace be upon him) said: “Do not eat with your left (hand) because indeed Shaytaan eats with his left (hand).” – (Narrated in Muslim).

The children demonstrated in class which hand they have been commanded to eat with and completed a fun activity in their workbooks to remember this Hadith.
