Bismillāh wal-hamdulillāh.

By the permission of Allāh, the Men’s Musalla renovations continue to progress well this week, with the musalla now beginning to take shape.

Alhamdulillāh, this week has seen some amazing progress.

Tiling

We have selected large-format porcelain tiles for the lower half of the walls in the Musalla.

The mens’ musalla hosts prayers, lessons & schools, and therefore, the tiling should help us maintain this high traffic space for years to come, by the permission of Allāh.

The light-coloured tiles also help to brighten the room, creating a clean and welcoming environment and reducing the need for ongoing maintenance.

Paint

The upper portions of the wall are being patched, plastered and prepared for their final finish. Painting has already begun, and we hope to have it complete by this week, in shā Allāh.

We chose a natural colour paint, to create a welcoming & tranquil atmosphere within the Musalla, whilst complementing the tiling & lighting.

Coving

New coving has been installed to give the musalla a high quality finish. This detail, whilst subtle, adds depth to the musalla, leading to a more grand & polished appearance.

Lighting

The lighting improvements continue, with warm spotlights installed throughout. This gives the musalla a homely and warm feel for attendees, helping them to focus on prayer and worship in shā Allāh.

The ceiling upgrades also continue with the decorative moroccan style backlit panels slowly being installed to sit flush with the ceiling.

Together with the warm spotlights, these panels will help diffuse the light beautifully throughout the musalla and enhance the overall atmosphere of the space.

Further Works

The electrical upgrades will be complete with the fitting of the new electrical sockets, both on the tiling, as well as the upper portions of the wall.

The ceiling has also been patched and painted.

Power and audio cables are being concealed behind the walls, where possible, to remove trip hazards and “cable clutter”.

Alhamdulillāh, the Musalla Is Coming Together

The musallah is gradually beginning to come together, and we ask Allāh to bless it and make it a means of sadaqah jaariyah for all those involved. We thank Allāh first and foremost, and then our brothers and sisters who contribute towards this project.

These works are part of the wider Salafi Centre renovation and improve and enhance the Salafi Centre & its facilities for years to come (by the permission of Allāh).
