Alḥamdulillāh, work continues to move forward at the Salafi Centre as we prepare for the next stage of the renovation.

✅ Bookcases Removed
The bookcases have now been removed, giving us full access to the walls ready for the upcoming tiling works.

✅ Preparing the Walls
The walls are currently being scored and prepared to ensure the tile adhesive bonds securely and provides a long-lasting finish.

✅ Unexpected Discovery
As the timber ledges beneath the windows were removed, we discovered that part of the wall behind them had deteriorated and was much weaker than expected.

Qadar Allah, there was no option but to remove the weakened section. This has now exposed the brickwork and the area will be rebuilt by a professional bricklayer before the tiling work can continue.

Whilst these kinds of unexpected issues can sometimes arise during renovation projects, it’s always better to identify and rectify them properly rather than simply covering them up.
